Virtual Dancer - Caught Cute Hubby Watching This
So if you click on the title - Virtual Dancer - the video comes up. It's actually not bad. The soundtrack is a Dido song, and once it kicks in, the dancer actually dances to the beat. Yep, I'm totally skirting around the real issue here. Btw, when I Googled virtual dancer and looked under "images" so I could at least post a pic, all kinds of porn images came up. WTF? I'm guessing cute hubby never got that far, or he wouldn't have stuck with little miss videodrome. It's just a guess.

Honesty
I'll be honest here, these images are probably more for me than for you. They're out of an old Urban Outfitters catalog. I just love them, 25 years from now they'll be classic. I don't really know why I love them, I just do. Water symbolizes cleansing in some cultures. All right, smarty pants, I know you clean with water. But what I mean is, cleansing like a fresh start. I have no imagination today. It's been a busy week-end, spilling over into my Monday (or Merdey as I am fond of calling it). So rather than expose you to some mindless crap that I'm coming up with for the sake of fashion or wit, I'm putting up these two photos that really touch me right now. There you have it......As you were. xo

Long hairstyles for African American woman 2009
Short, long, in braids, or with a weave, your hair has its own unique style, the best black hair styles are designed to take advantage of black hair’s unique characteristics. Black hair is more fragile than most, requiring tender, loving care. With less oil production, black hair also tends to become dry and easily knotted.
There are many types of braided black hair styles available. Cornrows are small, tight plaits, close to the scalp. Twists are similar: groups of hair strands are twisted into soft plaits that drape.
Hot curlers, hot combs, and color can all damage your hair and using more than one of these can make the problems exponentially worse. Since straightening your hair removes elasticity from the hair shafts, the straighter your hair is, the more fragile it will become.
Black hairstyles tips
1. Start by shampooing and conditioning your hair and then saturate it with a high quality hair setting lotion.
2. Part you hair into 1/4 to 1/2 inch sections and place end papers on the ends of your hair.
3. Roll your hair onto each straw and then secure them using hair pins.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 until you have completed your entire head.
5. Dry your hair under a hair dryer.
6. Remove the straws and separate each curl using your fingers.

Short Sophisticated Hairstyles for 2009 Summer
Short Hairstyles Trends presents Short Sophisticated Hairstyles for 2009 Summer
When everyone is looking for long hairstyles you still have much broad range of short hairstyles to choose from. Most importantly, you must know your facial structure and the body type before you conclude any of the short hairstyles you want to go.
To give a pixie a hipper feel, hair is snipped asymmetrically. The longer side of the cut is directed forward to veil short, curly bangs that are achoed by flirty spikes at the far back of the crown.
If you want to take your hair this short, it helps if you have model-like features, because there's nothing you can hide behind. The bare but beautiful boyish cut features short, blunt bangs and sheared sides. Styling is practically non-existent. You can achieve this style by simply blow dry, comb in place and go.
If your hair is thick, cutting it short does not mean losing out in the fullness department. By positioning long layers through the crown and styling them forward with volumizer and round brush, you've got a look that's sure to turn some heads.

African American Black Men Hairstyles
The hairstyles of black men are unique and stand apart from those who are not of African American descent. It is naturally curly and for the most part, has a soft texture. Black men's hairstyles can be worn long or short, depending on what the person wants.
For many years, black men hairstyles were relegated to an Afro. Some people called it the "natural". Some men wore them as a "big" hairstyle. Others wore them shorter. Some of the middle aged and older gentlemen would be seen with the big Afro. Some of the younger guys would rather wear the shorter one. They took pride in this hairstyle not only because it was easy to manage, but because it was originally part of their ethnic heritage.
Black men's hairstyles also consist of braids. Some men wear their hair in plaits, which are regular braids that lie down and can be connected together. Or they can choose cornrows. Cornrows form a pattern and stay connected to the hair for a few weeks. After that, it’s time to take them apart and braid them again so that they will be fresh again.

Beyotch Fight
Click on the title - Beyotch Fight - to see the ridiculous video I made. If you'd like to see a better one, check out Yo Momma's Blog at http://yo-mamasblog.blogspot.com/. It's so much better than mine. This was really a lot of fun to put together. I'm not sure if I'd ever make another one, I think one is enough.
What the H*ll is This Doing In My Record Collection?
Seriously, what the h*ll is this doing in my record collection? I have absolutely no memory of going to see this guy in concert, which I evidently did, because the record cover is autographed. And that must be something to forget. I can just imagine what that "tail-gating" party must have been like, with all of those horse drawn carriages. And the performance must have been a trip, literally, since the description promises a magic carpet ride. And let's not forget the corn and comedy, wow, looks like this show had it all.
This is what I get for trying to go down memory lane by looking through my old vinyls. I was hoping to come across that old Van Halen albumn, yeah, you know the one. It was before everyone in the group went insane, and they all still had their hair and looked really hot. But, no, instead I found this guy. I really need to get out of the house more often.
In case you're wondering what the photo of Nancy Sinatra* is for, I thought it would keep the men entertained. Well, I was also thinking of those who just surf the net for fashion photos. And I might as well tell you that I thought the people who don't actually bother to read the posts would enjoy it, too. Have a nice week-end; go to a concert or something. xo
*Since you stuck around this long, here is your reward: Click on the title - What the H*ll is This Doing in My Record Collection? - and a very saucy Nancy Sinatra video will come up. Enjoy!

Tag, Your It
I've been tagged by Dominica of Faces and Places in Antwerp; thank you Dominica. Here's how it goes: I have to post a photo of myself from 1 year ago, or 2 years if I can't find one.
This photo of me was taken with my grand daughter at the hospital when she was about 6 months old, she turned 2 in November. My grand daughter is my miracle baby. She was taken out of the womb at 32 weeks because she had completely stopped moving. Her intestines were not attached, and when she was born she was completely swollen and the skin on her stomach was black. There was very little hope that she would survive. She had a drain into a bag for her "waste", a tube in her chest for feeding, and a breathing tube down her throat. The breathing tube was very painful for her, and gagged her as well. My daughter stayed at the hospital with the baby day and night, while family members stayed at the Ronald McDonald House across the street. Thank God for that Ronald McDonald House, I don't know what we would have done otherwise because we live 2 hours away from the hospital. At the time of this photo, my grand daughter was still on the waste bag and feeding tube, but the breathing tube was removed and she was a lot more comfortable. She had a series of surgeries, 5 in all, over a year and a half. Besides the scar on her belly, you would never know what she's been through. We worked hard with her physical therapist and occupational therapist to get her mobile and able to do the things a child should do at her age. I am beyond grateful for the doctors who performed a miracle by keeping her alive, and for all of the "angel" nurses who were at our beck and call. She is the light of my life. She was born the year after my mom died, and was completely well at the end of the year my brother died. It's been a long road. But here we are, and we are happy, truly.
Now, dry your eyes and blow your nose, because I'm tagging Vic of What Were You Thinking?, and she is one funny lady.
