Brandon Routh in Superman: Man of Steel


Entertainment Weekly has a quote from IMTA alum Brandon about the upcoming sequel to Superman Returns! In the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly in the "Deal Report" section, Brandon is qouted as saying, "As far as I know it is going to be called 'Superman: Man of Steel'... I was told we should start filming early next year," he says. "I have to get back to the gym. I've let myself go."

Brandon competed at IMTA in 1999 in New York City and was a favorite with the agents, managers and casting directors. Routh was chosen for the role of Superman following an exhaustive search that spanned the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Thousands of candidates were interviewed before the final selection was made. Prior to his break through role as the Man of Steel, Routh was best known for his soap work, including roles on One Life to Live and the MTV nighttime soap, Undressed. He's also had guest-starring roles on Cold Case, Will & Grace, and Gilmore Girls. Brandon recently wrapped the dramatic film, Life is Hot in Cracktown which tells various stories of how drugs have infiltrated the inner-city streets. We are all excited about seeing this super talented IMTA star fly again!

Sneak Peak at Josh Duhamel's Transformers!


IMTA INSIDER SCOOP!!!Two IMTA Convention staffers attended a sneak preview screening tonight of Transformers, starring IMTA alum Josh Duhamel. "Josh Duhamel was a scene-stealer! Every scene he was in, you couldn't take your eyes off of him. He really shows his acting potential."

Hana Lively modeling in Paris!






IMTA alum and professional fashion model Hana Lively is currently in Paris shooting for the famed French magazine Jeune et Jolie. Hana competed at IMTA New York, 2006 and signed with Raw Model Management in Los Angeles and Karin Models in Paris. Hana sent us a shout-out from on-location in Paris:

"I went to IMTA NYC the summer of June 2006. I did strictly modeling and i got 4th runner up in Make up. The magazine is Jeune Et Jolie. I'm 5' 9.5" tall, blonde hair, blue eyes. I love modeling and without IMTA I don't think I would be where I am today. I'm going to probably go out to IMTA LA in 2008 with my group from Knoxville, TN. I went to this past IMTA LA in 2007 to watch my students do well and pursue their dreams just like I did. I wish everyone the best of luck at this upcoming IMTA New York, New York!!!

At IMTA, Hana met several agents and managers and industry VIP's that want to work with her including Ikon Models, Uptown Model Management, The School for Film and Television (all New York) and Uber-Warning (Los Angeles). Hana models high fashion editorial, runway and intends to try acting in the future.

Josh Duhamel on the cover of Best Life Magazine!

The July issue of Best Life Magazine is on newsstands now and IMTA alum Josh Duhamel is on the cover. In the magazine, Josh talks about his life, career and girlfriend, Fergie. In the interview, he says "It always feels like I have to prove myself to be more than what people think they see. That's part of what I'm fighting right now. People don't know what you're capable of until you actually do it." We're all about to see what Josh can do as he stars in one of summer's most anticipated blockbuster movies. Transformers: The Movie will be in wide release on July 3rd. Josh plays the role of Captain Lennox in the action-packed event movie.

Josh is an alum from the New York, New York 1997 IMTA Convention where he competed and won the title of Male Model of the Year. Male Model of the Year is an award given to the model who earns the top composite score in the IMTA modeling competitions (Runway, Swimwear, Jeans, Fashion Print, TV Beauty Commercial). Since then, Josh was cast as Leo du Pres on the daytime drama All My Children for three seasons. He has been starring in the hit drama Las Vegas, which will return in the Fall on NBC for its sixth season.

Tyson Ballou in Iceberg fashion show!

Tyson Ballou walked the runway showing the Iceberg menswear Spring Summer 2007 collection. Tyson is one of the hottest male models on the fashion scene. He competed at IMTA in 1996 where he signed first with the Ford Agency and then with IMG. Tyson has modeled for
Jil Sander, Emporio Armani, Moschino, Perry Ellis, Donna Karan and Hugo Boss. He has also appeared internationally on the covers of major fashion magazines including a cover for L'Uomo Vogue with Kate Moss. Check out video of the show below!

Jessica Biel is on the Cover of GQ




Look for the latest edition of GQ featuring Jessica Biel on the cover. She looks stunning in a series of photos in sexy swimwear. In the accompanying article titled The Summer of Jessica Biel, Jessica talks about the challenges of getting good roles: “I want choices. I want options. I want to lay out all the directions I could go and have the ability to choose. I’m slowly starting to have that now.”

Jessica competed at IMTA in 1994 where she debuted her acting, singing and dancing abilities. She signed with an agent and manager who helped her land the breakthrough role of Mary Camden on the beloved long-running WB series 7th Heaven. Farah Fath joins the cast of One Life to Live!


IMTA alum Farah Fath will be appearing on the daytime drama One Life to Live! She recently wrapped her role of Mimi Lockhart on Days of Our Lives, which she played for an incredible eight years! Farah signed a multi-year deal with ABC and will be playing a role written just for her!

Farah competed at IMTA twice, once when she was a little girl and again as a teenager. She said the first time she wasn't ready to take it seriously but the second time she knew what she wanted and she was ready. She met managers and agents at IMTA who encouraged her to move from Lexington, Kentucky to L.A. and the rest is Hollywood history! She was cast on Days in her very first audition! Farah was very happy and well-loved on the set of Days but said she was ready for some change in her life. "I am so honored and excited. I left because I craved some change in my life, and this is going to be some serious change!" Farah will be moving to New York city where One Life to Live tapes. Farah is not only talented and beautiful but she is a gracious and kind person too, often contributing and making appearances for charities.

Elijah Wood starring as Iggy Pop!

According to Variety, IMTA alum Elijah Wood will star in The Passenger, a feature film biopic about the legendary rocker Iggy Pop. The role is much-coveted and is said to be an award-winning caliber script and role. The feature will begin filming in the next six months and is scheduled for a Summer, 2008 release. The movie is about Iggy Pop's early years in his band The Stooges.

Elijah certainly has the chops to play the role perfectly. His performances in the feature films Everything is Illuminated, Sin City, the Academy Award-winning trilogy The Lord of the Rings have been praised by film critics and moviegoers alike.

Elijah got his start at IMTA in 1989 when he caught the eye of the famed superagent Al Onorato. He moved from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Los Angeles and booked his first roles in Paula Abdul's memorable video Straight Up and the feature film Back to the Future Part II. Elijah has starred in over 40 feature films in his career and is one of young Hollywood's (and IMTA's!) most-loved actors!

IMTA INSIDER SCOOP: We'll never forget Elijah's performance during the Talent Showcase when he forgot a few of the words to the song he was singing, Don't Worry Be Happy. He did an impromptu duet with our emcee Russ Fega that had the whole crowd rooting for him. The entire Talent Showcase audience was charmed by his ability to recover. Elijah's song got a huge round of applause!

Jill Wagner in High Definition on Blade The Series on Monday!

Catch the premiere of Blade: The Series in High Definition, Monday, June 18 starring IMTA alum Jill Wagner on HDNet. This show is based on Marvel's blockbuster feature film trilogy about the character known as Blade, the half-man, half-vampire who uses his superhuman powers to save mankind from demonic creatures that walk the night. Jill plays Krista Starr, a former military veteran who gets involved with him while investigating her brother's murder.

Jill competed at IMTA in 2001 and won Model of the Year. She made her national debut as an undercover operative on a full season of fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher's MTV series Punk'd. Some of Jill's other credits include being the spokeswoman for Mercury vehicles, numerous commercials in print and on the internet, the movie Junebug, being named one of Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive along with IMTA alum Jessica Biel and guest starring on the TV show Stargate Atlantis. Entourage Starts It's Fourth Season with Jerry Ferrara!

Jerry Ferrara, also known as Turtle in the hit show Entourage, starts his fourth season on June 17th! The new season of Entourage airs every Sunday at 10 pm on HBO. The premiere is titled "Welcome to the Jungle". In this episode they show a a behind-the-scenes documentary look at the filming of Medellin the movie Vince and his crew are filming in Bogota. While Jerry was competing at IMTA, he met and signed with an agent who encouraged him to move to Los Angeles, where he quickly landed his first role on the comedy King Of Queens. Other television parts soon followed. Jerry was then cast in the independent feature Cross Bronx which premiered at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival. He has received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series from the Screen Actors Guild and TV -Chemistry from the Teen Choice Awards. Josh Duhamel at the MTV Movie Awards & featured in Cosmo!

Josh Duhamel is the proclaimed "Man on Fire" by Cosmopolitan in their July 2007 issue. The 34 year old is interviewed about his upcoming hit Transformers, hidden talents, his love interest Fergie, and the future. Josh said "I always try to stay in shape, but I ran more to build stamina," for the movie Transformers. Josh is sure to look good in his new film premiering nationwide July 3rd. Josh also attended the MTV Movie Awards where Transformers won a Golden Popcorn Award for The Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet. Josh presented the Best Performance Award with his co-stars of Transformers Tyrese Gibson and Shia LaBeouf, which you can watch on MTV.com.

Josh competed at IMTA New York Convention in 1997 and won Male Model of the Year. Since then, he's worked his way from the soap opera All My Children, to the hit show Las Vegas and now to the big screen in Transformers. Regine Nehy and Ashton Kutcher to Flim Lakeview Terrace

Regine Nehy, an IMTA alum just landed a coveted role as Celia, Samuel L. Jackson's daughter in the new John Lassiter film Lakeview Terrace. IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher stars as part of the interracial couple who moves into a neighborhood and becomes the focus of racist neighbor played by Samuel L. Jackson in this dramatic thriller.

Since competing at IMTA in New York of 2000 Regine has busy working. She has starred in the the film Pride about a swim team overcoming numerous obstacles to become state champions. Her resume includes the Lifetime network movie Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story, which airs Tuesday June 19, guest starring on an episode of the hit drama Grey’s Anatomy, and a starring role in the independent feature Weapons which co stars IMTA alum Riley Smith. This film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Nehy just wrapped Boot Camp a thriller about a group of troubled teens sent to a rehab camp on Fiji that turns out to be boot camp where they are abused and brainwashed.


Ashton competed at IMTA in 1997 and won Most Sought After Male Model with a record number of callbacks. Some of his many projects include the movies The Butterfly Effect, Dude Where's My Car, The Guardian , Guess Who, Open Season, My Boss's Daughter and Bobby. He has been in the hilarious long running television series That 70's Show as the dumb but lovable Kelso. He created and produced the hilarious TV show Punk'd and his newest television show Miss Guided will air on ABC as a mid-season replacement in the fall schedule and the network has recently ordered 13 more episodes. Miss Guided is a comedy about a guidance counselor who returns to her hometown. Recently, Hollywood Reporter announced a new two year production partnership with Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Films and ABC. After his win in 1997, Ashton interviewed with our video crew and said,"If you want to be a model, actor, singer or dancer, IMTA is the place to be! I'm on the top of my world right now!" Sean Faris to Film Get Some.

Sean Faris is preparing to start shooting the film Get Some this July in Los Angeles. This movie tells the story of a teenager who gets into an underground fight club at his new school. Sean competed at IMTA in 1999 and won Junior Male Model of the Year and he has been working in the industry ever since.

Currently Sean is filming the lead role in The Glass Eye which he is also producing with his manager Dino May. Some of his projects include the recently wrapped dramatic motion picture Brooklyn to Manhattan, about a drug deal gone bad, the TV show Reunion which is about friends who gather for their 20th high school reunion and one is murdered and the cult classic Life as We Know It. He starred in the feature film Forever Strong and played Rick, the lead character who is a troubled young man who loses his position as the star of an Arizona Rugby team after being sentenced to a boy's home in Salt Lake. Other movies he starred in include Sleepover with two IMTA alums, Kallie Childress and Mika Boorem and the movie Pearl Harbor. He has been featured in several memorable campaigns and magazines, including Abercrombie & Fitch, GQ, Teen Vogue and Armani. Look for Sean's film Brooklyn to Manhattan coming to theaters soon and catch an encore viewing of the movie Sleepover this weekend June 16!!

Don't Miss Chris Olivero in the Season Premiere of Kyle XY June 11 on ABC

Catch the season premiere of Klye XY Monday on ABC!! Besides the intriguing storyline, the show stars IMTA alum, Chris Olivero! Chris was the MOST SOUGHT AFTER MALE MODEL/ACTOR from IMTA in L.A. 1998 which means he had the most callbacks. Chris stars on Kyle XY as Declan McDonough, a popular kid with an edge and a dramatic past, his character is coping with the death of his brother. You may recognize Chris from his recurring role on Fox's popular series 24, where he played the President's son. He's also had guest-starring roles on Boston Public, NCIS, Once and Again, CSI: Miami and was in the film Air Force One. The depth of character Chris brings to his roles distinguishes him from most of young Hollywood. Stunning Jessica Biel on the Cover of July Cosmopolitan Magazine


Jessica Biel is on the cover of the July issue of Cosmopolitan looking absolutely gorgeous!! In the article, Jessica talks about her life, various challenges, her busy career and how she got started: "Her first acting job was a Pringles commercial, but she got her big break after being discovered at a modeling competition at age 11". Of course, that modeling competition was at IMTA in 1994! Jessica has starred in a wide range of films from the dramatic, The Illusionist, to action Stealth, to serious Your Mommy Kills Animals to funny I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry. She is extremely versatile and engaging in each of these roles.


Jessica was on the cover of Elle last month and appears in the movie Your Mommy Kills Animals which premiered at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and just opened nationwide. This documentary features interviews with celebrities such as Biel, and is a deeply focused examination of the animal rights movement and the FBI's investigation of them. Biel recently completed filming on Hole in the Paper Sky a short film that she produced about a Ph.D. math student who risks everything to save a friend's life. Fresh Faces Going Places!

Check out these IMTA alumni models and actors who have exciting new developments in their careers after attending a convention.
Ty Boice just landed the coveted lead role of Merrick in Oregon Stage Works’ production of The Elephant Man. He is also playing Boo Radley in the last few showings of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Parker Jones just completed a commercial for Maple Park Town Homes and Passey Advertising.
Yvette Mills is leaving to go to Chile for a six- day outdoor adventure shoot for the company Sahalie.
Liam Gillies particpated at the Nike MLB Summit 2007 event.
Monica James has been shooting for the national departement store Mervyns for several weeks and was recently booked by Fred Meyers.
Joey Hagler put his soccer skills to work in a print ad for Nike and appeared in the Euro Sport catalog.

Dalton James in Entertainment Weekly!


IMTA alum Dalton James is pictured in this week's Entertainment Weekly! The cover story about Katherine Hiegl mentions her first feature film My Father The Hero which co-starred Dalton James! Katherine played Dalton's young love interest in the classic comedy!

Dalton competed at IMTA twice in the early nineties and enjoyed a successful television career that included a recurring role as Mark Reece on 90210, as Hank Bennett on the soap Passions, as Robert Ulrich's son Dylan Hawkins in the TV series Crossroads, and in McGyver. He also starred in the movie Encino Man and Held Up. Dalton retired from acting a few years ago and enjoys golfing and spending time with his children. What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an actor?
Dalton: Believe in yourself, your dreams and have faith. You will find your destiny. It lies within your hands and your imagination.

Watch Eva Longoria Hosting The ALMA Awards Tuesday Night!

The stunning and extremely talented Eva Longoria is hosting and producing the ALMA awards which will air on ABC June 5. The ALMA Awards celebrates artistic leadership by recognizing the excellent achievements of Latinos in television, movies and music. The show focuses on celebrating the diverse, accurate, and positive portrayals of Latinos in the media.

Eva competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 1998. She started working in television on shows such as The Young and The Restless, The George Lopez Show and L.A. Dragnet. Her movie roles include starring in The Sentinel, Harsh Times, the recently wrapped comedy Over My Dead Body, and a voice over for the animated picture Foodfight. Eva is most recognized as the spoiled and sassy Gabrielle Solis in ABC's runaway hit television show Desperate Housewives. Eva has been on Maxim magazine's #1 Hot 100 List, appeared on numerous magazine covers, been named spokeswoman for both L'Oreal Cosmetics and Bebe Sport and honored as one of People Magazine's Most Beautiful People of 2007. Eva and another IMTA alum Jessica Biel, were two of eleven celebrities photographed without makeup for People which showcased their natural beauty. Watch Jerry Ferrara in the Season Finale of Entourage!

Be sure to watch the Season Finale of the hit original series Entourage Sunday night on HBO! IMTA alum Jerry Ferrara plays Turtle in the talented ensemble cast. In the episode "Adios Amigos", Turtle and his friends bid farewell to the mansion in Beverly Hills where they have all been staying. Entertainment Weekly called it,"a satisfying conclusion ... to season three."

The cast recently shot scenes for an upcoming episode at the Cannes Film Festival in France! They were also the guests of honor at the GQ magazine party celebrating the launch of the Entourage clothing line at the AG Boutique in Beverly Hills!

Watch the MTV Movie Awards Live June 3rd!




Two of IMTA's most famous alumni are presenting at the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday. Both Jessica Biel and Josh Duhamel will take the stage to present a Golden Popcorn Award at the huge event which will take place and air live this weekend. Some of the movies that are up for nominations have IMTA alums starring in them such as Nacho Libre for Best Fight and features Moises Arias, Click which is up for Best Comedic Performance and features Joseph Castanon and Josh Duhamel's highly anticipated movie Transformers: The Movie for Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet.

Josh and Jessica have been very busy since competing at IMTA. Jessica is featured in this month's Elle Magazine, has a movie, Next, in theaters now and a movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry hitting theaters July 20. Josh just wrapped another season of the wildly popular television series Las Vegas and is starring in one of the most anticipated movies of the summer Transformers The Movie in theaters July 3.
