'Simply KC' Finale Week

The morning talk show of TV host KC Concepcion on ABS-CBN is now on its final week. It has been extended another four weeks on the heels of its growing audience share in recent weeks.

Simply KC debuted on May 24 amid speculation about KC's ability to host a solo talk show. On the show, KC talks with popular celebrities and takes on various challenges such as riding the public train system for the first time, and trying out Muay Thai kickboxing.

Interest in the show waned over time - it lagged in the ratings race behind the cartoons aired by other local TV channels in the same 9:30 a.m. time-slot.

Showbiz critics pointed out that KC's core audience of college students, and young professionals find it difficult to wake up early in the morning just to catch Simply KC.

Ms. Concepcion however disagrees. "I receive a lot of tweets telling me that some of the fans of the show make an effort to wake up early just to watch the show," she said.

The young host is thankful to the ABS-CBN management for extending the show until this October.

Simply KC airs weekdays on ABS-CBN Channel 2.
