The Art of Hair Cutting

Hair cutting is an art of shaping the hair using implements. Both men and women have their different haircuts style depending on their culture, social status, as well as personal taste.

The most important component of cutting is the tool. Various tools like scissors, shears and razors are used for cutting. Each tool results a specific type of cut. A stunning hairstyle can change the look of the individual. It's not only the tool that changes the look but also a trained mind and a perfect hand.

There are various hair-cutting techniques that vary depending on the hair types and the desired hair-styles. Wet cutting is the most popular cutting technique in the industry because wet hairs are easily manageable. The only disadvantage of wet cutting is that the look changes after drying. Dry cutting is a perfect technique for straight hairs. This determines the actual look of the hair cut. Another technique is wet into dry cutting. In this technique wetting is done followed by dry detailing. Dry detailing is most commonly referred as blow dry.

Today, razor cutting is also in fashion giving the highly textured look. Layer cutting is highly demand and it requires cutting of each layer at a time. This cutting requires an extremely trained hand for a stunning look. The blunt cutting technique is good for any style that requires cutting of one length. Clipper cutting technique is used for cutting men's hair.

From time immemorial women have been into hairstyling and cutting but today even men are flaunting their hairstyles. Men today are seeped up with various styles like spikes, mullet cut, hair color, buzz cut, etc. Men need to search for a good stylist or a good barber because barbers and cutters know how to cut men's hair. If they try cutting at home or by any unprofessional barber they may get a crappy cut.

Today, hair segment market is grooming in India and the market value has reached to Rs. 200 crore. Several Indian hair-dressers are going abroad to bring in new techniques and styles. They have an art in their hands to give a stunning and completely different look. Some of our Indian stylists have great demand across the border.

IMTA Alum Moises Arias to be an ESPN Reporter!

IMTA Alum Moises Arias will be covering the Little League World Series for ESPN! He will work with the announcers Brent Musburger and Orel Hershiser on at least 15 games. The coordinating producer Tom McNeeley said he saw some of Moises work on Hannah Montana and decided Moises was perfect! McNeeley says Arias, rather than explaining any intricacies of on-field play, will look for color — "like who ate the most hot dogs on a team. His personality is what will drive this. I'm not looking for him to analyze double plays."

Moises competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2005 with his brother Mateo. Shortly after IMTA, Moises got his break with appearances on Everybody Hates Chris and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody before landing the role of Rico on the hit show Hannah Montana! He made his feature film debut in 2006 starring in Nacho Libre opposite Jack Black. He competed at the 2008 Disney Channel Games with fellow IMTA alumni, Alyson Stoner and Kunal Sharma. He also starred in the film The Perfect Game, a baseball movie, Beethoven's Big Break and Dadnapped!

Watch ESPN to see Moises' interviews and coverage!

Oooo Baby Baby, It's a Wild World

Since it's always a little hard to get going on Monday, I thought I would give you all a little push.

Happy "merde-day".

Eat a frog for breakfast, and nothing worse can happen to you for the rest of the day.

Medium Hair Styles

Bangs have recently been reintroduced to most medium hair styles. However, these are not the bangs of the past. Today bangs are soft, blended and fringed. The new banged look is a great way to soften your look, add a new dynamic to your hairstyle and to modernize your old cut.

Another great medium length hair style is the layered cut. There are many layered hairstyles that work well with medium length hair. You may be familiar with the “Rachel cut” from the 1990s. This was a very popular layered cut. More modern layered cuts include the Asteroid, which is a very punk layered cut. Layered cuts are great for fine hair, thick hair and curly hair.

If you have a natural wave or curl to your hair then your hairstyles will need to work with the texture of your hair. You will need to find a hair stylist who will be able to work with your curls to create wavy hairstyles or curly hair styles that will be flattering to your face shape and that will also not frizz out of control. Your final hair cut should provide you with several styling options and it should also look great as it grows out.

After selecting your medium length hairstyle you will next need to learn about the types of hair care products you will need to use to keep it looking great. If you color your hair you will need to buy shampoos and conditioners that are formulated to maintain the brilliance of your hair color. If you have curly hair you will need to buy hair care products that enhance and define your curls. Finally you will need general maintenance products that will help you fortify your hair, protect it from over-styling and to provide it with the nutrients that it needs to stay healthy.
