You're free to dream, but they don't plan to meet or exceed the Dell in number of units sold, so I wouldn't expect them to meet or exceed them on price either.

I really like the tone of these commercials.
Also, I enjoy that they keep saying magic or magical; only because I know how angry people (trolls, mostly) here get about it.
its almost at the taunt stage now.
i love it.

There is absolutely no, no, no way that Intel did not enter a contractual agreement with Apple that explicitly prohibits or deters Apple from using AMD's competitive products. Intel and Apple's partnership - not the traditional buyer-seller - extends into R&D and other considerable investments. Additionally, Apple is too small of a company to be able to leverage their volume in a way that would free them from such an agreement. Bottom line? We won't see an AMD in Apple for another 2-3 years, if it were to happen at all.

I still think it would help us if you described, at a high-level, what it is you are trying to accomplish.
From what I can gather you want a countdown timer: a label that shows the seconds remaining, along with two buttons, one to start the countdown and one to cancel it. After the Start button is tapped, the label will start showing the seconds counting down. If the Cancel button is tapped, the countdown stops and is reset, so that if you tap Start again it begins back at 60 seconds. Is that correct?
If so, I think you need to be aware that a countdown-timer and NSTimer are very different things.

I'd have to disagree with that.
A better statement would be your average user doesn't care about chip brand as long as the computer is relatively fast, and you get good battery life.

I think its the kid's responsibility here. The OP had every intention of paying for his purchase, but the cashier dropped the ball big time. When you take on a job, you assume the responsibilities that come with it. Making a mistake that big will have consequences. I would hate to have someone that makes mistakes like that working for me.

I won't watch the video because i'm faint of heart, i even had to close my eyes for half of American History X (everyone should watch that movie btw). But this is really messed up that the employees not only did nothing but encouraged it. I would have punched one of those nasty little teenage bitches in the face.
I kind of wish I hadn't watched it. It's horrible.

This may be off-topic, but does anyone know if the recently purchased Mac products are "grandfathered in" for a Lion release? In other words, I just bought a new MacBook Pro yesterday... am I going to need to pay to upgrade to Lion?
It would, of course, be nice if the upgrade was free for recent purchasers similar to what MS did with the release of Win 7, but I'm assuming that since I can't find anything out about it, there's probably nothing to be hopeful about.
