Paolo Contis' 'My Dad is Better Than Your Dad' Premieres on February 8

Paolo Contis will host My Dad is Better Than Your Dad which premieres this Sunday, February 8th. It will replace the celebrity edition of Family Feud which is hosted by Richard Gomez.

For its pilot telecast, the show will have celebrity contestants. Bobby Andrews with son Miguel, William Martinez with son Adam, Joshua Zamora with son Javen, and Lander Vera-Perez with daughter Reign will compete for the top prize.

The game has four rounds prior to the jackpot:

Ang Daddy Kong Strong will test the dads' energy, resistance, and determination; Ang Daddy Kong Fast needs speed, endurance, and alertness;

Ang Daddy Kong Brave will challenge their agility, mental toughness, and spirit;

Ang Daddy Kong Smart will test their knowledge and awareness.

The jackpot round is quite tricky because it will determine how well they know their kid. It has a series of questions about their kids that should be answered correctly to have a chance to win P100,000.00!

Paolo Contis To Host GMA-7's My Dad is Better Than Your Dad

Last August, Paolo Contis was able to try hosting for the first time when he was tapped to GMA-7's World Records. This November, he will be given the chance to develop his hosting skills even further when he hosts GMA-7's newest game show titled My Dad is Better than your Dad.

My Dad is Better than your Dad is a fun-filled, family-friendly competition series created by Jon Hotchkiss and is a production of Reveille (The Biggest Loser), Mark Burnett Productions (Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, Survivor, et al.) and Hotchkiss Industries.

In each episode, four fathers will lead his respective son or daughter through a series of physical and mental challenges and stunts for the opportunity to win money and prizes that have yet to be announced by GMA-7.

As host, Paolo would like to give his suggestions about how the show chooses its contestants. "Ang sabi ko nga, dapat bawat episode namin yung grouping ng mga contestants iba-iba. Dapat may physical na tatay, mayroong hindi masyado, para masaya," he offers.

"May mga sinuggest naman ako, which I hope na matupad pero kasi may sinusunod sila, e. Especially, since first Asian franchise ang GMA-7 kaya kailangan sundin nila. Medyo strict sila."

He says that he is studying the original U.S. version of the show so he will be knowledgeable about the rules of the game.

My Dad is Better than your Dad will air on GMA-7 starting November 23.
