Cris Cartagenas Voted Off of "Survivor Philippines"

Company driver Cris Cartagenas failed to make it into the Top 3 when he was voted out in Chalam's Tribe seventh tribal council. Cris got three votes versus his one vote against JC Tiuseco.

Cris now became the 15th person to be voted off and the seventh member of the Jury, which will decide who will win the three-million cash prize and the title of the first-ever Pinoy Sole Survivor. The other members of the Jury, as of now, are Jace Flores, Kiko Rustia, Vern Domingo, Marlon Carmen, Kaye Alipio, and Zita Ortiga.

JC together with Rob Sy and Charisse Yacapin, however, complete the Top 3.

Waiter Marlon Carmen Voted Off of "Survivor Philippines"

Dubbed as the "bad boy of Philippine primetime television," 30 year-old waiter Marlon Carmen finally got the boot in last night's episode of GMA-7 reality show Survivor Philippines.

With only seven castaways left, all the tribemates of Marlon in Chalam voted against him, while he voted against company driver Cris Cartagenas. With his ouster, Marlon became the 12th person to be voted out from Survivor Philippines and he also became the fourth member of the Jury; along with Jace Flores, Kiko Rustia, and Vern Domingo.

"Natapakan ko yung personalidad ko, pero dito, you have to do everything to reach your goal. Iwasan n'yo rin yung masyadong trust sa mga tao kasi maraming two-faced eh." said Marlon in his exit interview.

Taekwondo Expert Vern Domingo Voted Off of "Survivor Philippines"

Taekwondo expert Veronica "Vern" Domingo, considered to be one of the biggest threats in the competition, was voted out in last Friday's episode of Survivor Philippines. She became the 10th person to be voted out and the third member of the Jury.

The five remaining members of the Naak tribe—JC Tiuseco, Rob Sy, Cris Cartagenas, Kaye Alipio, and Zita Ortiga—bonded once again and voted Vern. On the other hand, the three members of the former Jarakay tribe—Vern, Marlon Carmen, and Charisse Yacapin—voted for Rob.

It was also Vern’s turn to give the black pearl and she gave it to Charisse who won the third Immunity Challenge. The black pearl automatically gives Charisse one vote in the next Tribal Council.

Siyempre, medyo nahe-hurt ako. Lumaban ako ng patas, ibinigay ko lahat. Naduwag sila sa talagang kalaban nila.” said Vern in her exit interview.

Businessman Kiko Rustia Voted Off of "Survivor Philippines"

Young businessman Kiko Rustia became the 9th person to be voted out and the second jury member in GMA-7’s Survivor Philippines.

Kiko had five votes while waiter Marlon Carmen had four.

Before leaving the Tribal Council area, Survivor Philippines host Paolo Bediones asked Kiko to open a small treasure box that has been on Paolo's side since the first Tribal Council. Inside the box is a black pearl that Kiko can give to one of the remaining castaways. The black pearl will serve as a curse to whoever holds it, and the holder will automatically get an extra vote in the next Tribal Council.

Kiko gave the black pearl to former Naak tribemate Rob Sy, a sales officer, believing that Rob betrayed him. Rob, on the other hand, could only look at Kiko in shocked surprise.

Anything can happen and lagi ko na lang pinapasa-Diyos nga kung matanggal man ako or hindi or alam mo iyon para sa akin ano e God’s will e yung nangyayari. I mean secondary lang yung iniisip ko na desisyon naming lahat. May dahilan kung bakit and I just hope na for the better yung reason ng pagkakatanggal ko.” said Kiko in his exit interview.

Hunk Jace Flores Voted Off of "Survivor Philippines"

19-year-old former barista and gym instructor Jace Flores is the 9th castaway to be eliminated from GMA-7’s Survivor Philippines.

In the first Tribal Council after the Naak and Jarakay merge (they are now known as Chalam), Jace was the first to be voted out in a close battle with castaway Kiko. Jace got 6 votes while Kiko got 4.

I was expecting na at least magka-tie pero something happened e pero di ko pa alam so ok lang. Parang betrayed na parang hurt, sobrang unexpected pero ok lang I still love you guys and good luck. It’s the game, I shouldn’t take it personally so ok lang.” said Jace in his exit interview.

Model John Lopez Voted Off of "Survivor Philippines"

After losing both Reward Challenge and Immunity Challenge, the Jarakay tribe decided to vote off one of their members out of compassion. Auto mechanic and part-time model John Anthony Lopez became the sixth person to be voted off and the seventh person to leave Survivor Philippines.

Although the Jarakay members initially thought of voting out call canter agent Nikki Dacullo—who was deemed the "weakest link" and who has the least contribution—the tribe opted to send home John because of his failing health. It can be recalled that John previously collapsed a few episodes ago, but was able to return before the given period of time.

Although he tried his best to help his tribemates during the challenges, it became obvious that John's health was worsening. For this reason, his tribemates, even his alliance, decided to let go of him rather than sacrifice his health.

Before casting their votes in the Tribal Council, host Paolo Bediones talked to the Jarakay members one by one and asked them who they would vote out. Although most of them named Nikki as the likeliest to be voted off, John got all the votes from his tribemates.

During the Reward Challenge, the Naak tribe won two whole lechon de leche and they ate while the Jarakay tribe was on their side.

With only five members remaining in the Jarakay tribe and the expected merge on the horizon, the power now shifts to Naak tribe that still has six members left.

Survivor Philippines Update: Vevherly Gador is the Sixth Person to Leave Survivor Philippines

Farmer's daughter Vevherly Gador became the sixth person to leave Survivor Philippines. In an episode last Friday night, October 10, Vevherly was voted out unanimously by her fellow Naak tribemates.

Even before the Tribal Council, Vevherly already knew that she would be the one to go home because of the "alliance" among her tribemates. She vented her disappointment with tribemate Kaye Alipio and told her that she felt betrayed.

Vevherly also suffered an injury during the last Immunity Challenge, but she refused her tribemates' offer to look at her wound.

After the Immunity Challenge, host Paolo Bediones revealed the "twist" that he announced before the challenge. The Naak tribe, who lost in the challenge, would have to leave their camp and find another one where they will build a new shelter.

Naak member Kiko Rustia was kidnapped by the Jarakay tribe as a consequence of losing the last Reward Challenge. He was also not allowed to participate in the Immunity Challenge and help his tribemates.

Before going back to his tribe, Kiko thanked the Jarakay tribe and settled his differences with Jace Flores and Marlon Carmen whom he had issues before. He returned to the Naak tribe just in time for the Tribal Council. But he was not able to vote and he cannot be voted off.

During the Tribal Council, Paolo announced another "twist." At that point, the Jarakay tribe joined the Tribal Council to observe Naak's Tribal Council.

Paolo asked the Naak tribemates who among the Jarakay members are the strongest and the one they want to be chained with.

Vevherly received all the votes from her tribemates while she voted Rob.

In her exit interview, Vevherly asked the remaining Naak tribemates not to bring their game to the real world.

Vevherly has now joined other Survivor Philippines castoff: Chev Macias, Emerson Diño, Gigit Sulit, and Patani Daño. Niña Ortiz was forced to leave the game before the last Immunity Challenge because of her fractured toe.

Paolo Bediones Denies Rumor About Survivor Philippines' First Pinoy Sole Survivor

Survivor Philippines host Paolo Bediones denied the rumor that hardcourt heartthrob John Carlo “JC” Tiuseco is the first Pinoy Sole Survivor.

The contestants who comprised the Jury cast their final votes before they left Koh Tarutao (the setting of Survivor Philippines) last September. Everything will be revealed, live, on the last airing of Survivor Philipines on GMA Network.

Nevertheless, Paolo is thanking those who are trying to ruin their show, “But thanks to them, people are now more curious about the show,” said the TV host.

Survivor Philippines Update: Patani Daño was Voted Out of Survivor Philippines

Probably the most popular castaway, nanny Patani Daño became the fourth castaway to be cast out of Survivor Philippines.

A few moments after mountaineer Gigit Sulit was unanimously sent home by his tribemates in the Jarakay Tribe, host Paolo Bediones surprised the tribe by announcing that another one of their members will be voted out.

In a surprise turn of events, the Jarakay tribe had to vote out one of their own again without discussing and strategizing how they will cast their votes. Paolo prevented the remaining members of the Jarakay from talking to each other prior to their votes.

In the end, Patani's three votes against her was enough to sent her packing; call center agent Nikki Dacullo and architect Niña Ortiz both got two votes while auto mechanic-model John Lopez got one vote.

The 20-year-old native of Talisay, Cebu took everything lightly and even managed to smile after Paolo announced her elimination from the game.

In her exit interview, Patani said, "Sayang hindi ako nagtagal do'n. Pero okay lang kasi, unang-una talaga, mapasali lang dito sa Survivor, e, malaking karangalan na talaga para sa akin. Kasi nasa Cebu ako, ‘tapos kung hindi ako napasama dito, hindi ako makakabalik ng Maynila. Kasi wala akong pamasahe, di ba? ‘Tapos hindi ako magkakaroon ng passport, ‘tapos hindi ako makakapunta dito sa Thailand.

But most importantly, Patani added, "'tapos nagkaroon ako ng ‘exfosyur.'"

Patani is very vocal about her desire to enter the world of showbiz. In fact, the main reason she decided to audition in Survivor Philippines was to get a free ticket into showbiz.

Patani auditioned in StarStruck several times but she never made the cut. Through Survivor Philippines, she got the "exposure" she always wanted.

With Patani's exit, the Jarakay tribe and the Naak tribe are now even with seven members each.

JC Tiuseco is the First Pinoy Sole Survivor?

Survivor Philippines is airing for barely 3 weeks and the news on who will be the first Pinoy sole survivor is now circulating in the four corners of showbizlandia....and the source? According to showbizjuice.com are some of the show's staff.

Here's an excerpt of their news article posted on September 30:

"Sa usapan ng ilang staff ng programa sa isang coffee shop, walang pakialam na ikinuwento ng isang taklesang staff ang nangyayari sa Survivor.

Ang pinaka-shocking revelation ng tsikahan ng staff na hindi napalampas ng source ng showbizjuice.com ay ang pangalan ng winner ng reality show.

Si JC! Siya ang Pinoy Sole Survivor.
"

We hate to spoil the excitement by revealing the big winner but it seems like there is a need to highten the confidentiality clause between GMA 7 management and its production staff.

Again, this is just a news.

Survivor Philippines Update: Castaways Voted Out Emerson Dino

It was an emotional Tribal Council for the Naak tribe as they faced host Paolo Bediones in the second elimination of Survivor Philippines. In the end, they decided to vote out sewing machine technician Emerson Dino.

Emerson became the target of his tribemates after his behavior during the first immunity challenge and his conflict with farmer's daughter Vevherly Gador. But it was not easy for the rest of the Naak tribe to send him packing.

Basketball player JC Tiuseco cried upon realizing that Survivor Philippines is more than just a game and it became so hard to eat one of their own. Although they've been together in the island for only six days, they already managed to develop close ties with each other.

In the end, they had no choice but to say goodbye to one of them. Emerson became the second castaway to be voted out after receiving five of the eight votes.

In his exit interview, Emerson defended his actions. He said that the people should not judge him on what he did during his short stint in Survivor Philippines because it's different when you're actually playing the game.

Next week, the remaining 16 castaways will engage in another set of challenges to determine who will be voted off next.

Chev Macias is Voted Off of Survivor Philippines

The Bisayang Palaban Chev Macias made history by becoming the first castaway to be voted off Survivor Philippines.

Before voting began, Paolo Bediones asked the castaways their basis for voting out a tribe member.

Chev said she will base her vote on social status and whether the castaway badly needs to win the cash prize. While another castaway Cris said she will choose the one whom he thinks will be a burden to the tribe will get his vote.

When the voting began, Chev chose castaway Kaye to be kicked off the island.

But the rest of the Naak tribe all voted for Chev.

After Chev left the Tribal Council, she had five powerful parting words for her fellow castaways: "I hate you all guys!"
