IMTA Stars in the Twitterverse!

Twitter allows people to communicate from all over the world with tweets (messages less 140 words). 1999 IMTA Alum, Jessica White (@IAmJessWhite) joined Twitter to stay connected with her friends and fans. Jessica has been featured in numerous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition Issues, walked the runway for Victoria's Secret, and currently is the face of Maybelline. She's one of the industry's top models!

When @ayO_BeAuTiFF_uL was curious about Jessica White's IMTA experience, Jessica replied:

"Oh wow you're going to IMTA!? I got my start there my advice would be pray. And ask God to lead u to the right agency! Don't try to hard just have fun it goes by fast."

IMTA's Jerry Ferrara Joins Twitter!

Jerry Ferrara has officially joined the Twitter world! Jerry competed at IMTA in 2000 and now plays Turtle in the hit HBO show Entourage. He has been very busy filming his seventh season! Jerry has received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series from the Screen Actors Guild and TV Chemistry from the Teen Choice Awards.

Jerry isn't the only IMTA alumsto have Twitter accounts. Ashton Kutcher Speaks at Russian Technology Event!

The Russian Technology Development conference is currently taking place in Moscow, where Ashton Kutcher is a featured speaker about the powerful use of social networking. With over 4.5 million twitter followers himself, Ashton discussed the importance and influence of twitter and other social networking sites. During a seminar, Ashton told the audience "... the power of the social web, which is to say you don't have to be a celebrity or sit on a podium to have a community that you can build, run an idea, a thought, a piece of leadership." Ashton also said, “Technology’s really the platform where the borders and languages and governments have all come down. When you’re online you don’t care that somebody’s from here or there or whatever it is if you share interests and desires you connect with people.” Ashton was recruited by America's State Department to join the delegation headed to Russia to strengthen the global web and ties to the U.S.

Ashton Kutcher competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won the coveted title of Most Sought After Male Model! He signed with Next Models and went straight to the runways for New York's Fashion week! He then was cast in an upcoming Fox comedy called Teenage Wasteland, the title was later changed to That 70's Show and Ashton was cast as the lovable Kelso! From there he's become an A-list star with movies such as What Happens in Vegas, Spread and the recent weekend box office hit Valentine's Day!

Eva Longoria Parker joins the World of Twitter!

Eva Longoria Parker has officially joined the Twitter world! Her first twitter ever states,

"Hey guys! I'm finally on twitter! I just joined like 10 minutes ago, so hang tight as I get the hang of this. Pictures and updates to come! Follow me @evalongoria on twitter and www.facebook.com/evalongoria! I'm so excited!"


Since she created her account yesterday, she's already posted a picture of her with friend Kevin Paves at dinner.

She also shouted out to fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher (aplusk). Eva writes "@aplusk Ashton! It's Eva Longoria Parker! I am finally on Twitter! Hope you are well my friend, sending positive vibes to you in the world!"

Riley Smith Update!

IMTA alum Riley Smith has two new exciting projects in the works! He will appear in the Halloween Episode of Ghost Whisperer! The episode called 'Head Over Heels' airs October 30th and Riley plays Sean, aka the headless horseman!

Riley will be headed to Dallas in a few weeks to start a new film called MinuteMan. For all the latest on Riley Smith, straight from the source, please follow Riley's twitter feed! You'll want to check out the Official IMTA twitter feed also!

Riley competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Model of the Year for his age division. IMTA INSIDER: Riley was roommates with Ashton Kutcher in New York city when they were both competing at IMTA that year! Riley has been busy working in television and movies ever since.

Riley has appeared in many notable television shows and films such as: Drive, 7th Heaven, Freaks and Geeks, Gideon's Crossing, Boston Public, CSI: Miami, 24, Radio, Eight Legged Freaks, Weapons, and the thriller Gallowwalkers. Riley is also very musically talented and has released great CD's with his band The Life of Riley! You can listen their songs on The Life of Riley official band MySpace.

Ashton Kutcher in Spread!!!

IMTA's 1997 Male Model of the Year Ashton Kutcher is starring in the film Spread! Ashton stars as Nicki, a guy who has trouble committing to a relationship in a humorous and cautious story about love. The film is set in Los Angeles, where IMTA hosts a convention every January!

Soon after Ashton won IMTA's top honor of Model of the Year, he was cast on That 70's Show as the lovable Kelso! He started producing shows, such as Punk'd, Beauty and the Geek and Miss Guided. His movie roles include The Guardian, Dude, Where's My Car? which also stars fellow IMTA alum Seann William Scott, The Butterfly Effect, A Lot Like Love, Guess Who and What Happens in Vegas. Ashton runs a huge production company called Katalyst and has developed various TV shows and movies. Ashton is the spokesman for Nikon in a huge international advertising campaign! He was also the first person in the world to have a million followers on Twitter, the social phenomenon and micro-blogging site.

Final Day of Competitions at IMTA!

The IMTA Designer Fashion Show and Overview

It's the third full day of Competitions at IMTA and what a way to wrap it up! The actors started off the day with I'm Ready For My Closeup Competition in the Grand Ballroom. Commercial Print and Sitcom Competitions were great as were the many wonderful Seminars and Workshops! Tony Perkins from Vision Models & Talent and Karen Lee from The Karen Lee Group presented a prestigious panel of Model Agents and Scouts who held a seminar "Preparing for Model Callbacks in the 21st Century!" Coretha Timko and Michae Harrah presented the Seminar for Actors "Preparing for Talent Callbacks!"

The Models showed the agents their beautiful figures and confidence during the IMTA Swimwear Competition. You can see our live photos from this event which were posted in real time via our Official IMTA Twitter feed! Follow IMTA for more live coverage of the week's events!

The evening culminated in the amazing Overview event. Nancy Mancuso and Mark Reynolds announced the long roster of Agencies, managers, casting directors and VIP's scouting at IMTA and it was incredible. Next up was a beautiful and elegant Fashion Show presented by Curtis Davis which was hosted by the cast of Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel! Sandhurst was adorable on stage saying that he came in second on the show but Branden (the winner) had the benefit of the IMTA experience! Then the crowd went wild for the IMTA Reel, a video that featured many of the IMTA models, actors and celebs who got their start at IMTA!

Then it was this year's participants turn to impress the agents, managers and casting directors who were there to scout and select the models and actors they want to see tomorrow during the Callback day!

IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton Twitters and Goes to Sea!

Ahoy Matey! There be Disney and IMTA stars ahead! IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton is on her way to Orlando for launch of the first-ever "Disney Channel Summer At Sea" on the Disney Cruise Line! According to the Disney official site: "Disney Channel teen sensations will pump-up-the-volume during onboard deck parties, join Guests for Q & A and autograph sessions, and provide sneak-peeks of upcoming Disney Channel shows and original movies. For one fabulous evening onboard each cruise, all the stars come together to rock out to a special musical performance by a Radio Disney star !" Another IMTA alum and Disney star Alyson Stoner (Camp Rock and Phineas and Ferb) will also set sail with the "Disney Channel Summer At Sea" cruise in August!

Tiffany competed at IMTA in 2003 and was 1st runner up for Actress of the Year! She plays Tawni Hart on the Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance. Tiffany is a triple threat and she recorded the theme song "Let It Go" for Hatching Pete with Mitchel Musso. It's a top hit on Radio Disney and plays in heavy rotation! She starred in the Disney Channel original movie Hatching Pete!

Ashton Kutcher and Susan Boyle!

IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore are scheduled to appear as guests to cheer on and support the wildly popular aspiring singer Susan Boyle! They have been invited by the judges Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden to the Grande Finale of Britain's Got Talent! Ashton was instrumental in getting American exposure to now front-runner Susan Boyle's performance by tweeting to his one million twitter followers about her last month! Ashton beats CNN in Twitter Competition!

IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher is the first person in the world to reach one million followers on Twitter! He was competing with CNN'S breaking news feed to see who could hit one million followers first and Ashton won! At final count, Kutcher had 1,040,000 followers and CNN had 1,019,000! As if attracting a million twitter followers is not enough, Ashton is also currently filming a new film called Five Killers. According to Variety, "Lionsgate has set Ashton Kutcher to star in and Robert Luketic to direct Five Killers, an action comedy that will begin production early next year. Kutcher will play a former hit man whose life is turned upside down because someone from his past has paid a group of killers to bump him off. " He recently wrapped the movie Spread which premiered at Sundance in January.
