The Secret to Looking Young

People are always asking me how I manage to stay so young looking, I turn 51 this month. Here's the answer:

Never wash with soap. Not your body or your face.
I use Juice Organics facial cleanser, the main ingredient is white grape seed extract. I noticed a difference after the first use.
2 or 3 times a week I use my Shiseido facial brush, probably the best investment I ever made. As opposed to a facial scrub, which can leave little lacerations on your skin, the ends of the brush are rounded.
Moisturize every night before you go to bed. Your body does most of its healing when you are asleep. Your blood vessels expand, which is why we get hot & toss the covers off, making this the perfect time for treatment.
When you moisturize, use that time to give yourself a mini-facial massage. The best one I've come across was taught to me by Shiseido, and they have a ginger-based massage cream that makes it nothing short of a miracle for your skin. Their founder was the private pharmacist for the emperor of Japan.
Drink a lot of water. It's good for your skin and hair, not to mention all of your internal organs.
Eat more produce than anything else. You'll see a huge difference if you cut out heavy sauces and processed foods.
Get yourself moving. Exercise of any kind is good for you. A walk around the neighborhood, dancing in your kitchen, using the stairs. If you get into the habit of "moving", your body will thank you for it by becoming leaner and more flexible.
Younger looking hair requires oil treatments. If you are in a hurry, a light film of olive oil combed through will do the job. Leave it in all day, and then wash & condition normally. Rinse with water as cold as you can stand it.
Smile. Statistics show that smiling automatically lifts your mood. A woman's smile is her best accessory.
My favorite body moisturizer is made by Nature's Gate, and contains persimmon & rose geranium. It feels as though you are quenching your skin, not simply coating it.
As a final note, red wine has been shown to have many health benefits. It cuts the chances of dementia by 85%, who knew? It might also help you with that smiling thing.
Have a nice day.......now get moving! xo
