Nicholas Purcell and The Troop back for Season 2!

Nicholas Purcell (former IMTA Contestant) just received his pickup letter for second cycle to star as Jake on The Troop with Nickelodeon! He begins shooting Cycle 2 in July 2010. You can watch a video from Nick about his character from The Troop above! Be sure to tune in - It's one of Nickelodeon's most entertaining shows!

Mario and Maria Cassem on BrainSurge!

IMTA alum Mario Cassem and his sister Maria are going to be on the game show BRAINSURGE! This brand-new show is in premiere week on Nickelodeon! Maria will appear on the show on Tuesday, Oct 6, and Mario will be on Friday, Oct 9. Mario is also starring in a national Fruit Roll Up commercial which is currently running on Nickelodeon. Mario starred in the comedy feature film Seventeen Again with Zac Efron. In the film, Mario plays the role of Samir. Mario competed at IMTA in New York in 2007 where he signed with Martin Weiss Management. He is in post-production on Finding Bliss with LeeLee Sobieski and he just booked an episode of Comedy Central's Mind of Mencia!

David Archuleta's Acting Debut on iCarly

David Archuleta is hitting the small screen!

The American Idol runner-up will make his acting debut in an episode of iCarly, Nickelodeon confirmed on Wednesday.

According to show executive producer and creator Dan Schneider, "iCarly is all about super-talented teens so David Archuleta is an ideal fit."

The series is centered around a high school student (Miranda Cosgrove), who has her own Web show.

In the episode, Archuleta will play a contestant in a talent competition called "America Sings." Filming will begin on Thursday.
