One True Love Hits Php60.48 Million on its 3rd Week - Now Rank No. 11 Movie of 2008

GMA Films and Regal Entertainment's One True Love hits Php60.48 million on its 3rd week.

The Marian Rivera-Dingdong Dantes starrer is now at no. 11 highest grossing film of 2008. But it needs Php6.5 million on its 4th and 5th week to penetrate the Top 10.

“One True Love” Earns P10 Million on Its Opening Day

GMA Films and Regal Entertainment reportedly announced that the movie “One True Love” starring Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and Iza Calzado earned 10 million pesos in gross sales on its opening day.

One True Love was given a "B" grade by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG-13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

It will also be sh0wn in Guam starting November 21 up to December 5. There will also be screenings in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.

One True Love - Movie Preview

Iza Calzado, together with the most sought-after, successful, and I must say "controversial" loveteam of today - Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, will star in GMA Films and Regal Entertainment's "One True Love".

Synopsis: Medical intern named Migs (Dingdong Dantes) will have to deal with the conflict between his heart and his mind. After three years of courtship, he is about to get married to Joy (Marian Rivera), a nurse who works in the same hospital as him. However, days before the wedding, his first love Bella (Iza Calzado) returns to the Philippines. The balikbayan is still single and still in love with Migs, whom she broke up with in the past when her family migrated to the United States for their restaurant business.

The women in Migs’s life try to get along with each other but knowing that they are both in love with the same man give rise to feelings of jealousy and envy. When Migs gets into an accident, he develops lacunar amnesia, a type pf amnesia that blocks off time periods from one’s memory. In his case, it blocks off the three years that he was in love with Joy and leaving him with memories of Bella.

The movie also stars Jennica Garcia, Pinky Marquez, Bianca King, Tessie Tomas, Boots Anson Roa, and Chinggoy Alonzo.

One True Love is written by Maryo J. delos Reyes and directed by Mac Alejandre. Coming to theaters nationwide on November 19, 2008.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera's Next TV Project

Dingdong Dantes accidentally revealed that his next GMA-7 primetime soap is still with Marian Rivera.

Invited press on the first shooting day of their movie "One True Love" from GMA Films and Regal Entertainment yesterday, September 24, asked Dingdong about his next project with GMA-7 in which Dingdong quickly replied, "Meron na, kami ulit ni Marian."

"Pero di ko naman sasabihin kung ano. Pero nakausap na kami tungkol dito. And it will be a comedy series," Dingdong added.

This is contrary to what Marian said earlier that day that she still don't know her next Kapuso project but she thinks it will be a primetime drama series.

But one thing is for sure, Dingdong's next TV project is still with his Marimar and Dyesebel partner Marian Rivera.

They are the leading loveteam on primetime television nationwide. Now, you will get to see them in the big screen via GMA Films' One True Love.

“One True Love” is the working title of the upcoming romantic movie topbilled by Marimar and Dyesebel love team, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. The movie, which was formerly called “Amnesia”, was supposed to be shown last August but due to some schedule problems with its stars, it was moved to a November 2008 playdate.

Iza Calzado is also starring in “One True Love”. It is a joint venture of GMA Films and Regal Films and to be helmed by Mac Alejandre, the director of Joaquin Bordado. Today is the first day of shooting of the said romantic movie.

There is a possibility that One True Love will clash with the Star Cinema movie “Land Down Under” starring Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin. In earlier reports, Piolo already made a statement that he is hoping their movie will not be pitted against “One True Love.”
