Seann William Scott's (IMTA '95) newest comedy Cop Out is opening in theaters nationwide today! Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan play two longtime NYPD partners who are on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card. They pull out all the stops to catch the memorabilia-obsessed gangster who stole the card, breaking every rule and enlisting the help of an annoying thief- Seann's “Doody Calls” Dave.
From the American Pie series to Dude, Where’s My Car, to The Dukes of Hazzard to Role Models, audiences continue to appreciate Seann as a bankable, comic leading man. After voicing characters in two of last year’s animated hits, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Planet 51, Seann returns to his comedic alter-ego to co-star in this hilarious new comedy!
Planet 51 opens in theaters today November 20th! When an American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker (Dwayne Johnson) lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders...like Chuck! IMTA alums Jessica Biel (LA94) and Seann William Scott (LA95) voice Neera and Skiff, two members of the family Chuck first encounters on Planet 51 when he interrupts their barbecue. Next up on Biel’s busy schedule is Valentine’s Day, a romantic comedy opening February 12, 2010, that also stars fellow alum Ashton Kutcher! Jessica is currently filming the big-screen treatment of the 1970’s TV series The A-Team, currently scheduled for a June 11 opening next year, in which a group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
Seann is working on a comedy called A Couple of Dicks. This movie is scheduled to open February 26, 2010. The comedy is about two cops whose adventures include locating a stolen baseball card, rescuing a woman, and dealing with gangsters and their laundered money. Other projects in development include Coxblocker (as Executive Producer and star) and The Undeniable Charm of Sloppy Unruh, a comic fable. He is now filming a new detective, action comedy film called A Couple of Dicks. It also stars Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan as two policemen who are trying to catch a thief. Seann plays the bandit in this hilarious movie, directed by the Kevin Smith.

Ellen has a history of showing stars footage of themselves at IMTA. She surprised Josh Duhamel by showing video of him competing at the 1997 IMTA Convention. He was floored to see himself in the skin-tight runway outfit modeling on the IMTA runway, showing the agents, managers and VIP's his modeling potential! The next time he was a guest on the show, he surprised Ellen...they played the clip again and he stripped off his outer outfit to reveal the clothing he had worn in the IMTA runway competition! In 1997, Model TV (a syndicated E! production) covered the IMTA Convention and shot footage of Josh Duhamel, Ashton Kutcher, Riley Smith, Michael Altman and many other models and actors who were competing that year at IMTA. This footage is often shown around the world on Entertainment and News programs about these stars!

The 15th annual Austin Film Festival screened some of the best upcoming films and shorts and IMTA alumni starred in 3 of them! "The Festival is dedicated to furthering the art, craft, and business of screenwriting and filmmaking by providing unique, year-round cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships," according to their official mission statement.
In the comedy horror, My Name is Bruce Grace Thorsen plays the lead, Kelly, which debuted at the Austin Film Festival. The story revolves around a monster who is killing people in a small mining town in Oregon. Grace won the title of Actress of the Year at IMTA convention in Los Angeles, January 2007. Her films include the dramatic Sixes and the One Eyed King, See Me Dance and she has appeared in a television series called Pastor Greg. Grace has many national commercials on her resume and was a spokesperson for Lad Advertising! Grace is in post-production on Calvin Marshall, a baseball comedy movie. IMTA alum Jill Wagner's new feature film Splinter also screened at this year's annual Austin Film Festival! You can get a sneak peak by watching the trailer above! Jill plays Polly Watt, the female lead in the film. A leading horror site describes the plot as, "The creature-feature is set in and around a quiet gas station on a lonely freeway, where a terrifying virus-like monster inhabits the bodies of its victims and drives them with a relentless lust for blood. The virus monster twists the bodies of its prey into the shapes best suited to carry out its unrelenting desire to infect more victims and kill again." Jill competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2001 where she won Female Model of the Year! Many people know Jill as the Lincoln Mercury car girl. She played an operative on fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher's hilarious show Punk'd and while on the show she punk'd Katie Holmes, yet another IMTA alum! Her television roles include Monk, Dr. Vegas, starring as Larrin in Stargate Atlantis, Blade: The Series, and she starred in the independent films Junebug and Shifted. Jill was a co-host of the hit reality summer series, Wipeout!

Seann William Scott has a new movie in theaters today called The Promotion. In this comedic film, Seann plays Doug, an assistant manager of a grocery store in Chicago. When a new store in the chain is opened, the manager role should go to Doug. Instead, he finds himself competing with another store's assistant manager for the position with hilarious results! Seann has been on TRL and Late Night With Conan O'Brien promoting the film.

The sci-fi thriller stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johsnon, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Janeane Garofalo. It is directed by Richard Kelly, director of Donnie Darko. Little Big Men is a comedy about two friends who are beer salesman. When they get in trouble with the police, their punishment is to become Big Brothers and many interesting situations arise. Book of Leo is a comedy about a guy who decides a week before his 30th birthday that he wants to do all the things he has ever wanted before entering his 30's.
